Shane Michael Sambola passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Sharon Fossier Sambola. Son of Stephen Lionel Sambola and Joyce Denley Sambola. Godfather of John Joseph Braud.
He was a native of St. Bernard Parish and moved to Slidell, Louisiana in 2006. Graduate of Chalmette High, class of 1994. Shane was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke’s The Evangelist Catholic Church. He worked for Winn Dixie for 19 years and then Walmart for the last 6 years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Rummel Council #5747 in Chalmette since 1999, Knights of Columbus Assembly #1635 Fourth Degree in Slidell since 2016, Elks Lodge #2321 since 2021, and the Mardi Gras Krewe of Dionysus since 2017. He enjoyed playing darts, volunteering, and social gatherings with family and friends. Shane was loved by all and will be deeply and truly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 10:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
