Shirley Alice Bacques passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. She was 95 years old. She was the cherished aunt of Jane Alberts Dedon and Mary Ann Alberts Francingues, and the great-aunt of Anthony Voiron, Guy Voiron, Nicole Lanclos, and Richard Francingues. Shirley was a graduate of Loyola University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and worked as an accountant, for any years. She was a devout catholic and was honored to serve as a eucharistic minister at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, where she also provided administrative support. Shirley was a natural athlete and enjoyed swimming, golfing, and playing tennis. She loved seeing new places, experiencing new things and traveling whenever possible. She was truly a great lady and will be forever missed by the family she leaves behind. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET,
in Chalmette, on Saturday, March 14, 2020, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held in her memory at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
