Steven Gallodoro

Steven Gallodoro, 73, of New Orleans, passed away on May 17, 2024. Born on June 8, 1950, Steven dedicated his life to serving the community as a firefighter for over 41 years. Steven was known not only for his bravery in the line of duty but also for his extraordinary ability to connect with people. He had an innate talent for conversation, making everyone he met feel valued and heard. Whether he was chatting with neighbors, comforting those in distress, or sharing stories at the firehouse, Steven's warmth and genuine interest in others were evident to all.

Outside of work, Steven enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and participating in local events. Steven’s friendly nature and tireless spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Malvina Gallodoro; his children, Steven Gallodoro Sr. (Patti), Anthony Gallodoro (Jessica), and Gino Gallodoro; his grandchildren, Steven Gallodoro Jr., Anthony Gallodoro Jr., Ethan Gallodoro, Hunter Gallodoro, and Donovan Gallodoro; his mother-in-law, Gloria Gallardo; his siblings, Joe Gallodoro (Bonnie Emmons) and Cheryl Gallodoro (Barkley Emmons); his brother-in-law Henry Gallardo (Cindy Perez); his many nieces and nephews; and his many firefighter brothers.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents Tufanio “TJ” and Pearl Gallodoro; and his father-in-law Henry Gallardo.

Steven will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his heroic spirit and the joy he brought into the lives of so many. His legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, May 23th from 9:30AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Catholic Cemetery.
