Sydney Ann Dobson

Sydney Ann “Sandy” Dobson, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and beloved friend, departed this life on May 20, 2024. Throughout her journey, Sydney Ann exemplified the essence of love, devotion, and resilience. As a loving mother to Jamie, her light illuminated the lives of those she held dear. Her role as a grandmother to Kristian (Brandon) and Olivia, and great-grandmother to Jade and Layne Gaudet, brought her immeasurable joy and fulfillment.

Sydney Ann's legacy extends beyond her immediate family, as she leaves behind three brothers Sydney (Cheryl), Glenn (Sherron), and Dennis (Cindy) as well as eleven nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her boundless affection and unwavering support.

In her professional life, Sydney Ann made a lasting impact at Nunez Community College, where she forged a successful career and formed countless friendships along the way. Her dedication and passion for education enriched the lives of many.

Sydney Ann's presence illuminated every room she entered, her laughter echoing with warmth and sincerity. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide those she leaves behind.

Though Sydney Ann's physical presence may be gone, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of her loved ones who have gone before her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, June 4th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a memorial service in Sydney Ann’s memory beginning at 1:00PM.
