Thelma Johnson Verbeek entered eternal rest at home in Baton Rouge on April 10, 2020 at the age of 94. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Barbara V. Lyons, her loving grandson Jonathan J. Lyons, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph G. Verbeek, her son, John J. Verbeek, her parents, John Aloysius Johnson, and Rose Borgstade Johnson, her sister Elma J. Calegan and her brother George J. Johnson (Pootsie). Thank you to all our friends and family for their prayers during this time. A Celebration of her fulfilled life will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church at a later time.
