

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas “Tommy” Fazio, who departed this life peacefully at the age of 91 on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Thomas was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a devoted member of the community. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Roth; grandchild, Jessica Sanford; his great grandchildren, Lily Sanford, Blaine Sanford and Brayden Sanford; his siblings, Angie, Sarah, Rose, Zena, Virginia, Joanne and Sam. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Sally Sue Fazio; his son Joseph Fazio and his parents, Joe and Josephine Fazio.
A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army from September 15, 1952, to August 25, 1954. His time in service was a testament to his dedication and love for his country. Throughout his life, Thomas worked tirelessly in a variety of roles, including as a seaman, on an oil rig, as a longshoreman, and later as a process server with the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a man of many talents and a strong work ethic. He later pursued his entrepreneurial dreams by founding PAK Wrap Mail Center, where he became well-known in the community for his integrity and dedication to his customers. While he found success in his work, his greatest joy was always his family. He took immense pride in being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His love and devotion for his family were unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He will be remembered for his wisdom, kindness, and the warmth he brought to those who knew him.
