Thomas Allen Rickerson Jr.

Thomas Allen Rickerson, Jr. entered into eternal life on November 11, 2022, at the age of 70. After several months of declining health, Tommy died peacefully with his loving wife of 51 years, Karen Ducote Rickerson, and children by his side. Tommy was born on July 10, 1952, to father Thomas A Rickerson, Sr. and mother Marie Rickerson. He was the oldest brother of Jeffery Rickerson (Marlene) and Julian Rickerson (Beth).

Tommy has three loving children: Dana (Derek), Dionne (Michael) and Trey (Lauren). He was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish before moving to Myrtle Beach after Hurricane Katrina. After 13 years in Myrtle Beach, he was able to move back home to St. Bernard to be close to his family. He loved spending time watching Saints and LSU football on the weekends with family and friends. His pride and joy were his six grandchildren: Brooks, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Addisyn, Madelyn and Trevor. He was the manager of Winn-Dixie, Piccadilly (Chalmette), and Denny’s. Tommy never met a stranger, and was a proud Graduate of Chalmette High, 1970.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, November 18, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held in Tommy’s memory at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
