Vera Campo Snyder

Vera Marie Campo Snyder passed away into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on August 24, 2014 at the age of 92. Daughter of the late Juan Martin Campo and Laura Marie Nunez Campo. She was the loving wife to William Gilbert Snyder Sr. for 57 years. Mother to William Jr. (Erlinda), James, Stephen (Sherry), Robert “Butch” (Melissa), David (Tiffany), Susan Ainsworth (Darrell), Laura Adams (Sonny), Sharon Macaluso (Paul), Regina Snyder, and Rebecca Roberts (Frank). She was the sister of the late Robert, Martin, Adam Campo and Bertha Guerra. Vera was one of the last eldest descendents of the Los Islenos families of St. Bernard Parish. Vera was the very proud grandmother to 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She touched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed by the many friends and family she leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Wake to be held at Church of Christ, 200 De La Ronde Drive, Chalmette, LA on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. A Visitation will be held the following day at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 29, 2014 followed by a Funeral Service that will begin at 10:00 AM. Additional Visitation will be held at Ellisville Funeral Home, 1204 B, Ellisville, MS at 9: AM – 11:00 AM on August 30, 2014. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
