Viola D'Antoni Toussel Dufrene

On Saturday, December 5, 2020 the butterflies gathered to guide the soul of Viola D'Antoni Toussel Dufrene to heaven. She was 91. She was the daughter of the late Rachel Baham and Frank DAntoni and Stepdaughter of the late Edward H. Toussel. She was the beloved wife of the late Acklin J. Dufrene since May 20, 1944. Beloved Mother of Harry A. Dufrene (wife Cindy) and Patricia D. Schneider (husband John). Half sister of Gerald D’Antoni (Roz). Grandmother of Brett J. Schneider (wife Rose), Tiffany Eagles (J.D.), Bart Dufrene (wife Tuyet), Jonathan Dufrene (Kelly), and Lauren Dufrene. Great Grandmother of Steven Eagles, Brittanie Rachel Schneider, Blade Schneider, Cheyenne Viola Eagles, Gabrielle Eagles, Jon David Dufrene, and Jakob Dufrene. Great Great Grandmother of Jude Eagles and Avery Eagles.

Viola was the co-owner, along with her daughter Patricia Schneider, of Tiffany's Flower Shoppe in Violet LA. She was a lifelong resident of Arabi and St Bernard LA, until Katrina, she then moved to Terrytown, LA. She would like to thank her many friends and the Terrytown Golden Agers for their friendship.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required.
