Walter Joseph Cure III

Mr. Cure was the husband of Edith Marie LeBouef Cure for 59 years; son of the late Walter Jr. and Marie Jourdan Cure; father of Bonnie Cure, Walter J. Cure IV (Robin), John B. Cure, Raymond “Ray” Cure, and Connie Garcia (Steve); grandfather of Chasity, Louis, Walter V, Christy, Brad, Amanda, Faith, Chase, Colby, and Taylor; great-grandfather of 14; brother of Billy Cure, Betty Richards, Marie Hampton, Bobby Cure, Cheryl Maiaro, and the late Larry Cure; brother-in-law of Lindy LeBouef and Eugene LeBouef.

Mr. Cure was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet. He was also a member of the New Orleans Power Squadron.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and on Thursday, January 7 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, Louisiana. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mr. Cure will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Following interment, the family will receive guests at a luncheon at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home.
