She was born on March 15, 1936 in Horse Valley, Pennsylvania to the late Harrison Mackey and Jessie C. (Newman) Mackey.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Calvin B. (Ben) Cook, her son Randy C. Cook and grandson Joshua B. Cook.
Surviving Fanny are her sons, Roy (Teresa) Cook and Terry (Claudia) Cook, daughter, Melinda (Martin) Acri and daughter-in-law Shelly Cook. In addition, Fanny is survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and numerous nieces/nephews.
Fanny’s garden was her passion. On any given day you would find her in her yard planting flowers or in her vegetable garden fussing over it. She loved the peace of being outside in nature.
Fanny had a tremendous love for the Lord and her family. She attended Christ Community Church, Camp Hill PA for many years and was recently attending Tree of Life Church, Carlisle PA.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Parklawns Funeral Home; 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm with burial services to follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, the American Heart Association or to her church, Tree of Life, Carlisle PA.
