Born on July 30, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA to the late Grover C. and Mary (Keefer) Helman.
Roy worked as an assembler with JlG Shippensburg and also as a mechanic with Memphis Equipment Company Chambersburg. He was a jack of all trades from making crafts, painting, baking, spending time with his grandkids and really enjoyed watching nascar.
He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (Reasner) Helman of the same address; a daughter, Brenda K. Helman and son, Brian L. Helman both from Fayetteville. He is also survived by three grandchildren (Kayla, Ryan, Emma) and two great-grandchildren (Bryson, Evie) and one on the way. Also surviving are four sisters and one brother, and preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 12:30pm at Parklawns Memorial Gardens; 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201 for immediate family only.
