

Aaron Schendelman, a devoted husband, loving father, doting grandfather and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025 in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 84, surrounded by his family.
Born in the Bronx on March 1, 1941, Aaron was the son of Harry & Mae Schindelman. He partnered and then took over and built up his father’s scrap metal dealership. His strong work ethic supported his family of four.
Aaron dedicated his life to his family and was a source of guidance and strength. He was the beloved husband of Roberta Schendelman for over 61 years. He stressed the importance of a good education to his children, Lawrence & Melissa. He will be deeply missed by them and their spouses Karen Schendelman and Michael Adasczik; as well as his grandchildren, Alexa & Chase Johnson, Justin Schendelman, Kevin Adasczik, Olivia Adasczik & Luciana Montillo.
Beyond his back breaking work, Aaron had a passion for helping others through the Knights of Pythias Lodge, that he devoted most of his life to. He held numerous positions and worked hard to raise funds for their philanthropy, Deborah Hospital of NJ. He made many friends through this brotherhood and enjoyed bowling in their league. His other passions were golf, family and enjoying a great meal!!
Aaron is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and his sister Elaine Reitmeister.
A memorial/military service to celebrate Aaron's life will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, in Chandler, Arizona on September 10, 2025 at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Diabetes Association in his memory. His legacy of love, strength, and enthusiasm will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
