

Gross, Allan A.; 92 of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on April 12, 2011. He was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 22, 1919. He graduated from Attleboro High School, class of 1937. Allan was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Seabee in the Navy. He was a master plumber and operated his own plumbing and heating business while also being the plumbing inspector of Attleboro for 41 years. He was a proud member of the Rotary Club for many years serving as President and also was designated a Paul Harris Fellow. He was an avid volleyball and tennis player and also enjoyed golf. He retired to Cape Cod and later to Chandler, Arizona.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elna (Somero) Gross; his four sons, Albert (Barbara) Gross of Burlington, Vermont, Robert Gross of Foster City, California, Donald (Kyong) Gross of Gilbert, Arizona, Wendell (Susan) Anderson of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; one daughter, Lisa (Timothy) Sunnarborg of Chandler, Arizona; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with a funeral services to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10948 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248.
