Allen Louis Funderburk

Allen Louis Funderburk, a beloved and kind-hearted individual, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 15, 1939, in Minco, Oklahoma, Allen was the cherished son of George and Arizona (Grey) Funderburk.

Allen's early years were marked by his service in the U.S. Navy, where he served from the age of 17 to 21, from 1956 to 1960. Following his military service, Allen embarked on a long and fulfilling career with PG&E in California, dedicating over 20 years to the company.

In his personal life, Allen was known for his generosity and humor. He was extremely social, often spending time with friends and family, and had a deep love for golf, bowling, and shooting pool. Allen was very close with his grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Allen is survived by his son, David (Julie) Funderburk, and daughters, Sandra Funderburk and Dianne (Kevin) Funderburk-Kenyon. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Lindsay, Kaitlynn, Chelsea, Emma, and Jessica, and a great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. Allen's brother, Wayne Funderburk of Kentucky, also survives him.

Allen will be remembered for his kind-hearted nature and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
