Mandy is survived by her son Toby Imada, her parents Jill Sherrod and Scott (Linda) Sherrod, her siblings Angela (Jeff) McDonald, Andy (LyNell) Sherrod and Shane (Sarah) Sherrod, her numerous nieces and nephews, and her Uncle John and Aunt Hummingbird Corazza. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Jo and JoAnn Hinz, and Ralph and Jean Holmes.
Mandy was first a daughter, then a wife and finally a very devoted mother. We are here to honor and celebrate her life as we lay her to rest.
Mandy was born in Burley, Idaho on September 25, 1976 to Jill Marie Sherrod and James Scott Sherrod. Four years later her little sister, Angie, came along. In 1981, her family moved to Pocatello, Idaho where she attended elementary school. In 1987, she moved to Ogden, Utah with her mother and Angie where she attended Junior High. In 1989, her mother transferred with her job and the three moved to Mesa, Arizona to be close to her Grandma Hinz, Uncle John and Hummingbird.
In Mesa, she attended Poston Junior High School and then Mountain View High School where she graduated in 1994. She graduated from ITT Tech and Apollo with associates degrees.
She was a good woman with many positive qualities. She worked hard at being a great mother. She married Jon Imada in 2010 and was so happy to be expecting and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Toby, in 2012.
Today, we want to remind you all of what she accomplished during her life. She had many talents. She could craft, cook and think of fun ways of showing Toby he is loved. She was a wonderful friend, savvy business woman, a hard-working employee and a great supervisor. She will be missed by many people, more than she thought possible.
Thanks to her dad, she loved to camp and fish and out-fished her dad whenever possible.
She was a gracious host. We will miss those family gatherings. It just isn’t going to be the same without her there.
When we look back over her life, we can be proud of her many accomplishments. We are sure she and both sets of grandparents will have a lot to talk about in heaven. Rest in peace, Mandy. We love and will miss you so much.
