Anna R. Marin

91, of Mesa, Arizona entered into heaven on July 4, 2014. She was born in Weisenfels, Germany. “Anni”, as called by many of her friends, was the epitome of strength and unconditional love of her children, husband and grandchildren. She possessed an incredible range of European and Mexican cooking, from her wiener schnitzel and sauerkraut, to her amazing “GerMex” green and red chili recipes that she learned from her husband’s sisters, then added her own flare. She was a relentless lap swimmer in her backyard pool every summer. She was surrounded by family, prayed every night and passed away peacefully in her bed at home. Anna was widowed by her husband Lorenzo, and is survived by her sons, Joseph (Nancy), Robert (Nellie), Ray (Barbara), Larry (Deedee), D.J. (Ann), daughter, Barbara (Timothy), 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation/Rosary will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday July 9, 2014 at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler AZ. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:45 am on Thursday July 10, 2014 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Community 1730 W. Guadalupe Rd., Mesa, AZ. Interment will follow the mass at Valley of the Sun Cemetery. Reception immediately following in reception hall on premises.
