

Anna Marie McGrath, born on August 20, 1938, in Belle Union, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Anna earned her high school diploma and dedicated her life to raising her four beloved children. She was a devoted homemaker and also enjoyed a fulfilling career at Rogers Corporation, where she formed lasting friendships and took great pride in her work.
Anna found joy in collecting and painting yard statues, challenging herself with sudoku puzzles and word searches, and spending hours watering her lawn. She enjoyed sneaking treats to the family dogs, indulging in a can of Coke and a quiet smoke. Anna and her beloved husband, John, shared a love for road trips, traveling to New York, Canada, Washington, and down to Mexico City. Her warmth and playful spirit brought happiness to all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Matt McGrath, and his wife, Bonnie; her daughters, LaVerne McGrath, Mary Sanchez and her husband, David, and Rose Matson; and nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John McGrath, who passed away in 2016 after 61 years of marriage; her grandson, Jesse Johns; her parents, Chancey and Wilma Cox; and her sister, Imogene Shin.
Anna’s life will be honored at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, Arizona, on February 13, 2026, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m., followed by a rosary, burial, and reception.
