Aunt Ann was a beautiful, fun, smart, and talented woman.  One of her many talents was her needle work.  She made beautiful garments for herself as well as many tailored shirts and sports jackets for Uncle Pete.  They were all beautifully hand done.  She rarely used a sewing machine.  Her embroidery work was just exquisite and were often gifts to family and friends.  Ann was an excellent bridge player, golfer, seamstress, singer, dancer, and an accomplished innovative Rocketdyne employee.  She will be greatly missed.

In more recent years while visiting New Jersey,  we took Ann and Pete out for an anniversary dinner at an Italian restaurant.  There was an accordion player at the restaurant playing old songs from the 40's.  Ann started singing along (of course, she knew all the words to all of them) and before long the accordion player came to our table and seemed to be accompanying Ann! I thought he was going to hire her.

Ann was famous for her laugh - the one where she cannot stop and ends up having everyone around her in tears and gasping for breath.   Ann and Pete spent many weekend evenings at our home.  Mom and Dad and Ann and Pete would be in the kitchen talking and laughing.  My brother, Bill, and I were supposed to be in bed.  But we knew if Ann and Pete were visiting, sooner or later we would be treated to Ann's famous laugh.  So we would get out of bed and sit at the top of the stairs so as not to be seen, and wait for the laugh.  It always came and would complete the visit.

Aunt Ann was fun!  Aunt Ann and Uncle Pete joined our family vacations at the shore for many years.  If you wanted to spend most of the day in the water riding the waves in, Ann would do it with you.  If you wanted to go on the boardwalk amusement rides but didn't want to go alone, Ann would be with you.  If you wanted lots of laughs, you played games around the kitchen table with Ann.  If you wanted to practice new dance steps, Ann would be doing them too.  And speaking of dancing, no one did “The Golden Slippers” on New Years like Aunt Ann and Aunt Alice.

My aunt Anne wa a fantastic woman. She was the perfect blend of class and sass;her wicked sense of humor was a welcome accessory to her welllived life. Her sincere interest in my family really showcase her love and compassion,as we shared many long distance memories during our phone calls. She was the perfect bookend to my uncle Pete; Iam relieved to know they are a match made in heaven. Love, Pud and Carol Roop

Ann and her beloved Pete lived the most beautiful love story - after Pete's passing she felt he was watching over her and waiting for her to join him. Ann told so many wonderful stories of their life together she was a delight to be with. We will miss our times with her, especially the holidays...how she loved good food and especially CHOCOLATES ! Despite her illness, every day gave her pleasure. Always sharp as a tack I doubt she had ever forgotten a memory...she was quite a gal and we loved her. Tom and Sally Kiste

I have fond memories of Ann (and her late husband Pete) when I worked with her at Rocketdyne. She was a wonderful person with a contagious laugh. May she rest in peace.

Anna T. Moran, 88, a resident of Sun Lakes, AZ.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived many years in Canoga Park, CA.  She was an avid golfer and Bridge player, who lived life to the fullest.
