Branden Gerrard Wright was born to Ezell and Lucille Wright on May 16, 1986,
in Mesa, Arizona. Branden left this earthly life on August 5, 2022.
Branden was affectionally known to many as a gentle giant and called by his mother baby boy or B Wright when she was serious. Branden is known to be jovial, fun loving, a person that put a smile on everyone’s face and a protector of the weak. At a young age he received a Prophetic message from his spiritual pastor, Pastor Al Dube “God has called you to be a burden barrier”.
All that knew him became family in some way. He was an extraordinary husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Full of life, bear hugs that ensured you they were sincere. A lover of football, basketball, and mathematics.
God, Family, Sports, and Fun was his mantra.
He received his formal education in Chandler, Arizona where he played football from elementary school up to college. He also enjoyed basketball for several years. He attended Temple University.
Branden chose a financial profession and never looked back.
Branden was raised in the church and attended Progressive Baptist Church with his mother as a young boy. His youth Pastor Phreddie Minnifield became his mentor and spiritual brother at Living by the Word Church. Pastor Al Dube was his spiritual father, God’s Grace Church.
Branden, his wife, and children attended New Beginnings Christian Church, Pastor Andre Miller, Mesa, AZ at the time of his earthly departure. He loved to witness God’s goodness by always speaking of his love of the word. He would always say “Mama I’m good, when I fail, I know our God will prevail”.
Branden carried a special place in his heart for his brothers and sisters. He was the 3rd youngest but always rose to any occasion. Wise beyond his years imparting knowledge to them all. But when they pulled rank, he surely could hold his own!
Now that Branden is praising God in heaven, we are reminded of what a great warrior he was for God. So many stories being told of his wisdom, joy, and smiles that he put on 100 faces.
It is when Branden paused and decided to stand as a young man, that he became joyous about life. He courted his wife and took on fatherhood as if he had years of experience.
He leaves to bass in precious moments of life too many to name!! His loving wife Patricia Paige Wright, 3 daughters Chasity, Kitana and Brielynn Monet, his mother Lucille Wright, His father and stepmother Ezell & Kimberly Wright, 5 brothers, Corey, Jimmy (JW), Eric, Anthony and Shalomn, 2 sisters, Felicia and Shantel. His God brother Jordan and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His village of Chandler neighbor’s that embraced him, loved him, and often spoiled him. His junior high school crew, true boys for life, we can’t begin to count.
Branden’s giving heart and gift of love drew so many friends, that he made laugh or smile, he would walk a country mile for them.
He is preceded by Viola Wright grandmother, Rosa Hemphill Great Grandmother Walter Hardwick, Grandfather and many aunts and uncles.
Branden’s favorite scripture: Using repetition and completion, the prophet Isaiah wrote, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isa. 40:31).
Branden’s favorite song “Bread of Heaven” – You are the living Word, by Fred Hammond.
We celebrate his 36 years of God given life and we will miss him dearly.
