I was a friend of Brian’s in college, Kent State University, as we lived in the same dorm, Stopher Hall, and afterwards in the famous Tri-Pi house on N. Lincoln. Here is a photo of the gang, summer of 1984, at our Tri-Pi house. Brian is far left with no shirt on. Brian was such a funny guy and I truly enjoyed my time hanging with him. Such fun times and great memories. RIP B, you will be missed my old friend.

Brian was one of my best friends. I haven’t  seen him since probably 1998 but we exchanged Christmas cards with pictures of our families every year. We both shared a love of fishing and adventure and a similar sense of humor. I so looked forward to the random call to do something with Brian because I knew it would be an incredible adventure whether riding in a plane, golfing, fishing, or something else. I have so many great memories of times with Brian in those days that every time I think about him, another one pops into my head.
My greatest and most cherished memories of Brian involved our many fishing adventures. There are more stories here than I could possibly list. From fishing for catfish on the sound in North Carolina at Scott’s uncles, catching flounders at the Virginia Beach inlet, the numerous trips to local lakes and especially our many adventures on Lake Erie. I remember more than once where we both had to phone our current wives with some excuse that we would be late because we didn’t want to leave.
Back in those days Brian loved the Simpsons. Beavis and Butt-Head, and especially the British comedy series Red Dwarf which he had recorded on VHS. 
If you’re familiar then you understand the type of slapstick humor we both liked and why we took great pleasure in each other’s small misfortunes. I have so many examples that it’s impossible to list them. 
I have just so many great memories of Brian from drawing a giant Godzilla in lime on the hill facing our High School, to flying at night and seeing the comet and stars out the cockpit window, to working at the window factory, roller skating, and many others. Brian loved his family and friends and my deepest condolences to his wife Lisa, his kids, and his family. I am still stunned at his passing and will miss him immensely.

Brian was one of my best friends in high school and in college. One night during college Mark Higgins and I got attacked by a gang in the city. While I was on the ground, I heard Brian coming to the rescue. I still claimed that Brian saved my life that night. I’m sure Pat, Mark,Denny will remember that night.  During college our gang spent 3 summers at Virginia Beach we looked for jobs until school started the next year.Those were good times. Brian had guts no doubt about that.  That is the main thing I remember about him. I will always regret not hooking up with him after I got married.

I knew Brian in our Kent State days, where he played a central role in creating lifelong memories for so many of us. His enduring love of the Rolling Stones' music and Dallas Cowboys football was ever present, as were his many one-liners. He was Stopher Hall and Tri-Pi through and through. My favorite memory with Brian arrived after we departed Kent. It is a photograph depicting just him and I standing on High Street in Columbus, Ohio. The magic of the picture is that Brian talked  Joey Ramone (of The Ramones fame) into taking the picture  with Brian's camera. Mr. Ramone thought it funny and was into the gag. That's how B rolled. Condolences to all those who loved Brian. He made a lot of occassions magical. Rest in peace, brother.
