Brooklyn was born May 15, 2013 in Chandler, AZ with a genetic chromosome disorder called Ring 21 and a secondary condition called Dandy-Walker Variant. Brooklyn experienced significant developmental delays and medical issues. She experienced seizures her whole life and was a frequent visitor to Phoenix Children’s Hospital to see her nurse friends at the PICU floor while receiving excellent medical care. Brooklyn had the sweetest disposition and a head of amazing red curls every woman was jealous of. Brooklyn was able to experience life to the fullest despite all the hospital & ER visits, and hours of PT, OT, Speech, HIPPO, and feeding therapies. Brooklyn was famous for her amazing hair at PCH. Brooklyn was Taylor’s biggest fan!
At age 6, our Brooklyn had a brain surgery to stop drop seizures that were affecting her life daily. She did well after the surgery even though she experienced some other medical challenges that were hard to deal with daily. Unfortunately, at the time, Brooklyn was in a neurological decline. Her little brain was ravaged by seizures for years and it started to affect her body.
What a privilege it was to care for Brooklyn her life until she left to awake whole and well in his Heavenly Father's arms.
There's no resting in peace for this kiddo. Brooklyn’s body is healed and she is able to play, run, dance, and fly. We know Brooklyn ran into the arms of Jesus then her Papa Jim. He finally got to see her walk and run. Because of Jesus, what a beautiful reunion we’ll have with Brooklyn to look forward to on that glorious day! We always told Brooklyn God would always take amazing care of her and he answered our prayers. No more medicine, braces or doctors' visits baby girl.

Brooklyn required a great deal of compassionate, support and unconditional love. Her value was intrinsic because she was made in the image of God. She needed many people and services to give her the best quality of life.
