Carl was a very loyal friend. We discovered motorcycles together, both of us then got on a buying spree of motorcycles each one getting bigger and more importantly faster. Amazingly we both survived with a few crashes. I continued my whole like until a couple of years ago riding dirt bikes in the desert.
Carl was certainly a great friend he and I both enjoyed the same things ,cars, bikes, girls and trouble.

Carl and I met in 8th grade and became fast friends, we both enjoyed girls, cars, sports and having fun, did I mention girls. As we grew we both got cars and worked on them, Carl always had the hottest car which meant something breaking all the time. We would work together on the cars always ending with one big bolt, after 5 or 6 times I surprised the engine or transmission didn’t fall out. We both also discovered motorcycles and were a little crazy, one trip we went to the mountains for a ride wearing only a t-shirt, hmmm not smart riding home in the winter dark we nearly froze to death. At one of our school class assemblies (1,000 or more students) they had somebody filming kids littering the campus, unfortunately they also filmed Carl and I  with few other guys gambling by pitching pennies against the wall, within an hour we were in the Vice Principal's office given a long term of detention (many repeat sessions to come). We both had jobs but we still found ways to fit in going to the beach, parties and weekly trips to Tijuana. Every group always had a crazy one, that was me God assigned Carl to watch my back. In our Senior Year we were Never home out 7 nights a week finding fun, excitement and certainly some trouble. (we never once  went to the Library we claimed), How we graduated I certainly don’t have a clue. We lived up to the motto we heard a 1,000 times “What were you thinking?”

I miss Carl with all my heart, his smile just lite up a room. He loved everybody and everybody loved Carl and Nancy.  He will be truly missed. I know he's up there drinking and dancing with all the friend and family that have passed, waiting for all of us to join him. What a party that will be!!! Until then Carl - we love and miss you!!

I met Carl (Wesley!) and Nancy when I was 16 years old, and worked for them at the Dry Cleaners.  Who would have thought my bosses at 16 would become like family?  But that's exactly how Nancy are Carl are....they love so deeply, and welcome everyone into their hearts.  Wesley was a huge teddy bear who smiled, laughed, and loved. I love their love story, and wish you, Nancy, peace...in knowing how much he loved you.  My favorite couple.  RIP Wesley, I truly hope you know how many people adored you, and how many lives you genuinely affected. Love you both, Dena

What can you say about Carl?  He was just the most fun person you could ever know.  I never saw him in a bad mood and even when he was frustrated, he would turn that around with just a smile.  I had the great fortune of meeting Carl and Nancy in early 1983.  We worked together for many years in the dry cleaning business, but most importantly we had fun together.  I hadn't seen Carl or Nancy for several years, but the thought of them always puts a smile on my face.  Playing practical jokes on Carl was so much fun.  Our friend and partner in crime Donny was always in on those jokes.  He is and will be sorely missed.  My love goes out to Nancy, Sheri, Kim and all the family.  We were all lucky to have him in our lives.

Carl was such a special, long time friend.  He will be in our hearts and memories forever!  Carl and Mike were good buddies in high school.  Carl was the only one with a car, so he was always the driver for all their "mischievous adventures"!  Carl was also one of Mike's groomsmen in our wedding nearly 54 years age!  Seems like yesterday!  Through the years there were so many wonderful and exciting trips to the Colorado river in the 1970's to the  fishing trips in the 1980's and beyond.  Carl was always so much fun to be around. His smile was infectious!   After Carl and Nancy, got married and eventually moved to the LA area, we never lost touch.  Between work, family and life we tried to get together as much as possible.  Wish it could have been more often though.  Our love and sympathy to his loving wife Nancy, Sheri, Kim and  Matt.    Kiley, Makenna and Blake you were his pride and joy and "PaPa" loved you very much. 
Carl, we'll see you again dear friend!  RIP  

My Dad is a gift to me that can never be replaced.   I'm not going to talk about him as if he is gone because he is still here with all of us in our hearts and memories and his spirit lives on in every one of us.   His smile and warm embrace has always been there for everyone.  He has made me the person I am today and I will keep his memory alive by doing the things that matter most to him, which have always been to Live, Love and Laugh.  I will be forever grateful and incredibly blessed to have the most amazing man in the world as my Dad.   Until we meet again Dad, I love you with all my heart.

JERRY ALWAYS SAYS THAT CARL IS MY FRIEND AND ALWAYS WILL BE. CARL HAD A SPECIAL CONNECTION TO PARTICULARLY HIS LOVING WIFE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS. CARL WAS THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT WHEN YOU SPENT 5 MINUTES WITH HIM HE CONSIDERED YOU HIS VERY GOOD FRIEND. HE HAD A GIFT OF MAKING EACH PERSON HE CAME IN CONTACT WITH FEEL PARTICULARLY GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES. HE DEFINITELY HAD A HIGHLY EVOLVED SENSE OF HUMOR. IN FACT HIS SENSE OF HUMOR SUSTAINED HIM THROUGHOUT THE CHALLENGES IN HIS LIFE. HOWEVER, IF YOU WERE TO ASK CARL IF HE HAD ANY CHALLENGING TIMES IN HIS LIFE HE WOULD HAVE SAID, " NO WAY". HE LOVED HIS LIFE AND EVERYBODY IN IT. WE LOVE YOU CARL AND WE HOPE YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN ON US TODAY AND EVERY DAY, WITH THAT MEMORABLE SMILE ON YOUR FACE, HOLDING A SPOT FOR ALL OF US TO SPEND WITH YOU SOME DAY AGAIN. Carl was always ready for fun. He loved life and shared his joy with other. A generous man beyond measure. He loved fishing and Lyndon was so happy to get to spend the time with Uncle Carl at the water. 
He was the best brother-in-law a woman could ask for. We were so blessed when he joined our family. His love of Nancy was unmistakable. The life they built together was heart-warming. He treated our mother like his own. We will miss him and are eternally grateful for what he brought to our lives. He lives on in our memories.



Our loss of “Uncle Carl,” a.k.a., “Dad,” a.k.a. Carl is a painful reminder of how precious our time on earth is with loved ones, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances.  
 
Carl was truly blessed with two wonderful daughters, three beautiful grandchildren, a terrific son-in-law, and an extraordinary and incredible soul mate that adored Carl. He lived his life to the fullest and his family was at the center. 
 
For anyone that knew Carl, he was …… - here you can insert any one of many, many wonderful adjectives that describes your connection with this very special individual.  (Loving, kind, gentle, generous, smart, loyal, committed - the list goes on and on…)  
 
To me, though, it was all about the “SMILE.” Carl’s smile was simply amazing! It was big, bright, warm, affectionate, disarming, and most and best of all, it was contagious. Seeing Carl brought a smile to one’s face no matter what mood he found you in. He was truly an ambassador of goodwill and made everyone feel very special and loved.
 
With all that said, nothing else matters except faith, family, and friends. Although life can be one long equation of new additions and sad and painful subtractions, I feel truly blessed as I am sure many of you have had the privilege of knowing “Uncle Carl” a.k.a  “St. Carl.”
