

One of seven children, he was born in Pueblo, Colorado, on October 1, 1929. Known as Ed to family, he married on February 20, 1954 to Mary Esther Baker in Englewood, Colorado. A Korean War Veteran, Ed worked as a migrant farmer growing up, and upon returning from the war, worked as an underground pipeline installer. Ed then decided to go to machinist school and began an over 35 year career with Sunstrand Aviation, during which he lived abroad in Singapore as an instructor and supervisor.
Together with Mary Esther, he had three children; Kathy, Dennis, and Brian. Ed is survived by Mary Esther, two of his children, Kathy and Dennis, as well as over thirty nieces and nephews. Brian, who passed away in 2000, was married to Penny and had four children; Ryan, Joel, John, and Noah. Dennis is married to Marcia and has three children; Paula, Nick and Ben. Ed was a proud great-grandfather to Brooklyn and Anabel.
Ed enjoyed fishing, camping, photography, travel, and reading western novels. He took pride in building and making things, from household repairs to converting a school bus into a camper van. Ed was a loving, compassionate, hardworking man who was always the first to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed, but will be remembered and will always be in our hearts.
