

Ted was born in Washington, Georgia on January 28, 1934 to Chandos Langston Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Langston. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and spent his career as an Aerospace Engineer at Pratt and Whitney.
Ted was a member of Corona Baptist Church and the Rio Salado Gun Club. He enjoyed Elk hunting into his eighties, pheasant hunting, target shooting, scuba diving, boating, fishing, chess, travel, and reading old west stories and history books.
Ted was very proud of his career as an Aerospace Engineer. He loved to tell stories of working on the then secret SR-71 Spy Plane, and how he finished his career working on hypersonic propulsion.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Bettie Langston, his daughter, Susan (Ned) Brooks; his son, Todd (Shirley) Langston; his grandchildren, Amy (Stephen) Buehler, Andrew Brooks, Shelby (Austin) Lutterloh, and Rachel Langston; his great-grandchildren: Henry Buehler, Alexis Buehler, and Ariana Buehler; and his sister, Gayle Ricklefs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chandos Langston Sr., and Frances Elizabeth Langston; sons Butch Langston and Randy Langston; and brother Francis (Wink) Langston.

A funeral service will be held for Ted at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery on June 3, 2024 at 11:00 am, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248. All are welcome to attend.
