65 of Mesa AZ passed away on October 18, 2014. He was born in Phoenix AZ on April 10, 1949. He was a firefighter/ALS medic for the City of Phoenix Fire Department from 1990 to 2011. Prior to that he was with the City of Chandler Fire Department for 5 years and had begun his firefighting career at the City of Yuma, Colorado Volunteer Fire Department many years ago. Don had many hobbies and interests, but most of all he loved to work on and drive his vintage Ford cars. He also enjoyed traveling, photography, art, writing, and sharing a cigar with his friends and neighbors. Don was preceded in death by his parents William Boyd and Era Vail Stevens. He is survived by his wife Laurie, sister Sherri Stevens, brother David Stevens (Jo), and nephews Brian (Melissa) and Scott (Lauren) Stevens. He also had numerous other extended family members, friends, and neighbors who will all miss him dearly. Funeral services were private.
