Doral L. Hessman

Doral Hessman of Sun Lakes passed peacefully into God’s hands on October 30, 2011. He was born October 19, 1928 in Dodge City, Kansas. He is survived by his wife of 59 years-Suzy, Twin daughter Karen Barton and husband Mike, Twin Daughter Sharon Lutze of Lakewood, CO. Sons Rick and Tom and sister Carolyn Noggle and husband Lynn, Sister-in-law Barbara Shuman, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Doral was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and a graduate of Arizona State University. Doral worked as a pharmaceutical representative for A.H. Robins for 33 years retiring in 1989. Doral was an avid golfer, worked as a golf marshal at Ocotillo Golf Course, volunteered at Chandler Regional Hospital, and was active on his Sun Lakes Board. Doral battled Parkinson’s disease for 14 years which eventually took his life. Interment will be at Valley of the Sun, Chandler, AZ.
