and Bernadine Pronier. She passed away in January of 2021. She is preceded by
her parents and her brother Leslie Pronier and survived by her sister’s Patricia Teissere
and Carole Pronier and husband Craig Trent.
Dru’s father was a pilot in the Air Force and then Air America, so her family lived in
various countries and states before they settled in Long Beach, California where Dru
started 10th grade at Lakewood High School in 1971. Dru lived in Taiwan, Japan, Laos,
Georgia, Texas and California with her family.
Dru went to California State University, Long Beach and attained a Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology in 1981. She worked as a waitress at Houlihan’s Old Place restaurant
during this time. Dru was an excellent skier and after spending two seasons skiing at
Mammoth Mountain, she married her high school sweetheart, Craig in 1983. She put
her husband through his final two years of college during this period by working three
jobs (waitressing, aerobics instructor and cleaning houses). After a back injury sidelined
her for 7 years, she continued her love for fitness and eventually became a personal
trainer at 24 Hour Fitness and Gold’s Gym. She also became interested in body
building during this time and competed in various amateur body building contests,
winning first and second places numerous times, which we were all so proud of. She
and her husband moved to Chandler, AZ in 2002, where she continued her love of
fitness, being a homemaker and eventually managing rentals they acquired.
Whatever Dru did, she did to the fullest and to the best of her ability. She was kind,
considerate and a good listener and conversationalist. Her organizational skills and
excellent memory will be missed. She was a great partner and always in her husband’s
corner ... one memory that will always be cherished was when she insisted on staying in
the vehicle with her husband on a precarious 4-wheel trail on the side of a cliff.
Dru loved her family and friends and everyone enjoyed her company. During her two
year fight, her courage and kindness touched all who cared for her. She will be deeply
missed and will always be in our hearts.
