AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Dwight Anthony Griffin

27 avril 1966 – 13 février 2023
Avis de décès de Dwight Anthony Griffin
AUX SOINS DE

Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery

Dwight Anthony Griffin (AKA Griff, AKA G-Daug, AKA Big Poppa, AKA Master G, AKA Dog Parent, AKA Cat Daddy) was born on April 27th, 1966, in Lafayette, Louisiana.

After three years of putting up a valorous fight against cancer, Dwight peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loving wife and two daughters on the night of February 13th, 2023, at age 56.

Griff dedicated 26 honorable years (1986-2012) of his life to the U.S. Air Force where he learned all there is to know about communications. He began his journey as a technical school instructor at Keesler AFB, MS and retired as a well-respected and notable AFN Superintendent of the Pacific Theatre at Yokota AB, Japan. Dwight achieved the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt/E-8).

Although Griff was retired, he never stopped improving his mind and sharpening his skills. While his wife, Bonnie, was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana, he earned two Bachelors of Science degrees in Computer Science and Criminal Justice.

After Bonnie retired, the family moved to Arizona, where Dwight landed his dream job at First International Bank and Trust and was promoted to Applications Administrator. For eight years, he worked with colleagues he appreciated and in a work environment he absolutely enjoyed.

Griff was always our go-to guy for anything and everything. He wouldn’t give you the shirt off his back but would have ordered one for you on Amazon (and yes, it would include Prime delivery!).

Dwight is Survived by: His wife, Bonnie L. Griffin. His daughters, Miriah L. Douglas Panto (Domynic) and Natasha K. Green. His sisters Pamela Griffin and Loukisha Mitchell, and his many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dwight was preceded by his mother, Lula Rea Collins.

Flowers and restaurant gift cards can be sent to the family and will be greatly appreciated during this time.
