A proud alumnus of Northern Arizona University, he played the French horn in the Flagstaff Symphony, sharing his deep appreciation for music with the community.
Fred worked as both a lineman and a welder, never afraid to get his hands dirty. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple things: spending time with his family, tackling crosswords, watching movies and TV, and always enjoying a cold beer and a cigarette.
Known for his long hair, mellow attitude, and quick wit, Fred had a unique charm and a sense of humor that could light up any room. His laughter was infectious, and his generosity knew no bounds — he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
Fred is survived by his loving mother, Helen Ruddell; his sisters, Dorene Walton and Sara Walmer; his brother, Randy Wilber; and his children, Andrea Woody, Louis Bonsall, Travis Bonsall, and Christina Bonsall. He is preceded in death by his father, Frederick Wilber, and his brother, Scott Wilber.
Fred will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his spirit, laughter, and kindness will live on in our hearts.
