

Golden as she was known by, went home to her Lord Jesus Christ on the 14th day of March, 2016. Born in Ennis, Texas on November 30, 1920. Married the love of her life William Jennings )Jay) Baldock in Magnum, Oklahoma. They had two children, Paula Jay Kellogg (husband James) and Bobby Ray Baldock (wife Jane H. “Spunky”). Six grandchildren, PollyAnna Queen (Kenny), Holly Kellogg, Jamie McClelland (Jim) and Melissa Waibel (George Eric), Robert Jennings Baldock (Dawn) and Christopher Baldock, ten great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Golden and Jay lived in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona, and their favorite place to live was Maricopa, Arizona. They were the owners of Maricopa Mercantile from 1952 to 1982, then Paula and James became the owners. Jay and Golden were known far and wide and they loved all the people in Maricopa area, and had the privilege of helping many.
Golden was always active in the town of Maricopa and civic affairs.

(3) Active in Pinal County helping get medical clinic for Town of Maricopa
(4) Famous “Stage Coach Days”
(5) Retail Grocers Association of Arizona; “Grocer of the Year”
After their retirement, Golden and Jay traveled far and wide-many nations, every state except Georgia.
Her loving husband Jay predeceased her, having died on April 9, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her two brothers and two sisters, J.P. (Jack) Farrell, Edward J. Farrell, Gertrude Leadbetter, and Betty Jo Stanford. However, she is survived by all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Golden was a woman of great beauty, both outwardly and inwardly. As one of her grandchildren said, “She was an inspiration, a vanguard of encouraging the American Dream; hard work, dedication, never quit. These were principles she lived by, and she always displayed them before her family! Pray hard, work hard, and play hard.
She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
