After joining GOYA & the Three Stooges bowling team, I remember seeing a joyful expression of young love from a couple of members on a  competing team - my friend Doreen sitting on Greg's knee. What an endearing image. What an endearing couple. May our Heavenly Father comfort you and your family still, until the time our Lord maps out your reunion. Memory eternal

Doreen and Nick,

I was deeply saddened to hear of Greg's death, but was glad I was able to attend the moving services on Friday.  I always enjoyed Greg's company on the scout outings,  and even more on the adult backpack trips without any younger boys to worry about.  It's apparent from all the messages on this board that Greg was well liked and loved by family, friends, and colleagues.  I will truly miss his smile and great sense of humor.

From all his hiking buddies, we will remember him whenever on the next trail.

An Ode to our Brother

Our brother, Greg, so on the ball
A true-blue friend, who could do it all
Like his father, he was smart and tall
Like his mother, he was loved by all

We’d say, “Greg, can you help me?”  
He’d say “What do you need? I’ll fix it, I’ll make it, I’ll take the lead!
I’ve got hammers and saws, a garage full of tools
Three projects at once?  No problem, it’s cool.”

Greg was a master at solving a puzzle,
The most difficult ones, never causing a ruffle
As kids, we’d try hard to challenge his brain
He’d make even the hardest games look pretty lame

A BBQ master and hobby store junkie  
He made beautiful jewelry that didn’t look funky
“Only one project? Please give me more.
I’ll make a trip to my fav’ hobby store!”

He was helpful and curious, a figure-er out-er  
He was humble and nice, and not a self-tout-er
You ask, is there more to this man than I’ve seen?
To tell you the truth, there is, yes indeed! 

A father, a leader, a Boy Scout, a son
A husband, a colleague, a cat dad of one
He couldn’t sit still, curiosity fueled him
Why sit around, when there are things to be done?

The best-est big brother, we ever could find
This husband and father, the kindest of kind
He squeezed a lot in, right from the start
So grateful he did ‘cause he warmed all our hearts

Greg, 
We are so grateful we got to have you as our brother.  May your sweet soul be at peace and watching over your loved ones.

I enjoyed working with Greg over the years (Insight to today). Greg was always so helpful and was always there just to listen and offer advice. Greg will he missed and never forgotten. Hugs and prayers to Doreen and the entire family.

Ahh, Greg was always willing to help and he helped me out when he cut down an old kiva ladder that I wanted to use for curtains in my kitchen. The curtains and the rod still hang over my windows. He loved woodworking and I was so happy that he did! He was truly a good guy!

I was so shocked and sadden to learn of Greg’s passing. We ran into each other just last week. We played catch-up about our families and reminisced how much we enjoyed working at Quatra and all the good times we had. My heart goes out to Doreen, Nick and the rest of his family. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Its funny, Greg and I only occasionally met up at work conferences or for lunch when I was in town for an event, but I felt like we shared a much longer history and connection. That's probably how he made everyone feel. Every time I saw Greg he treated me as if he was delighted and couldn't wait to catch up on what I was doing in life, work, family, kids, whatever. My heart breaks knowing that I don't get even one more chat with him here on Earth. Until next time my friend keep that warm Greg smile!

Greg was always trusted advisor for me and I am going to miss being able to go to him for help.  We have periodically run customer technical trainings at the local branch and Greg was always instrumental in making sure that we had everything we needed to make things run smoothly and make our customers feel welcome.  Whenever we had a local trade show or training, Greg was always a friendly face for Avnet that we could count on to be right on the front lines with us answering questions, shaking hands, and building relationships.  In interacting with Greg personally, he always had something fun to share about his family and I could tell he was incredibly proud of them.  My thoughts are with all of Greg's family and coworkers at this time.  Greg was a tremendous resource for Avnet and we are really missing him a lot.

I'm so shocked and saddened to learn of Greg's passing.    I really enjoyed working with him back in the 1990s .  He was an exceptional person, always caring for others and his family.     We had many good times when he and Doreen lived in Tucson.      Liz and I's hearts go out to Doreen.      

May she find peace knowing how much Greg was loved

My heart breaks for Greg's family at this huge loss.  Greg was one of  the most kind, caring, men of faith and character that I have ever known.  I had the pleasure of visiting customers with him and we always had fun while we worked.  He would talk about his wife and family a lot and you could see his deep love for them.  He was one of my favorite humans and a trusted advisor and he will be missed.  You are all in my prayers for comfort during this truly difficult time.
