Hans Frederik Boon

Hans Boon, a loving husband, father, Opa, and friend, passed away on November 7, 2021. He was 69. Hans was born to Hendrikus and Petronella Boon on June 16th, 1952 in Surabaja, Indonesia. He moved to Holland as a toddler, then to the United States at age 10. He attended Gahr High School and Cerritos College. Hans married his beautiful wife on August 5th, 1989 in Santa Fe Springs, California. He worked as a programmer and IT system analyst for 45 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Hans was a very friendly, outgoing, family man. He also loved good food, especially when shared with family (his wife and kids will always cherish New Year’s Eve memories). He loved watching, playing, and coaching many sports; he loved shooting, camping, boy scouts, and cooking. He was a friend that could always be counted on. Most of all, he loved his wife, kids, and grandkids. They were his everything. Hans is survived by his wife Suzanne Boon; his children Sarah Wilson, David Boon, and Lindsay Heims; and his grandchildren Kaylin, Lily, James, Mila, and Channing (aka Henk); his brother Dirk Boon; and many others who adored him.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 20565 N. Homestead Dr. Maricopa, Arizona 7-9pm.
