

A beloved son of the late Hayes Samuel Johnson, Jr and Barbara Doris Phillips. Hayes Samuel Johnson III was born on December 16, 1965 in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania. He peacefully entered eternal rest on January 10, 2026 in Chandler, Arizona.
Hayes graduated from Abington Senior High School in 1984. As a young man, he had a deep passion and love for football. He played football not just for fun of the game but for the challenge and success of winning. He was a gifted athlete, proudly playing football for the Crestmont Raiders and as a semi-professional with the Bucks County Redskins, earning an athletic scholarship offer to Lock Haven University. He instead pursued a career in truck driving, a decision rooted in his love of independence, honest work, and the open road.
In 2011, Hayes married the love of his life, Sharon, with whom he shared a life full of devotion, laughter, and partnership. Together, they relocated to Florida, where he embraced an active lifestyle, finding joy in marathons, wellness clubs, and staying strong in the body and spirit. In 2012, he obtained a certificate in broadcasting media from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, reflecting his passion for communication and storytelling especially through music and football. In 2013, he became a licensed insurance agent, enjoying a successful career in sales where he found genuine fulfillment in meeting quotas and helping others plan for the future.
Hayes was a loving father, brother and husband. Known for his love of cruises, passion for music, and enthusiasm for football, he lived life savoring moments of relaxation, rhythm, and competition. He was a man of deep principles, faith, and an unwavering Dallas Cowboys fan. He stood by his team with the same dedication he gave his family, through highs, lows, and everything in between. His Sundays, like his love, were loud, loyal, and full of heart.
Hayes is survived by his loving wife, Sharon M. Johnson (Lawrence); his brothers. Geoffrey Johnson and Glenn Johnson; preceded in death by his brother, Gary Johnson and sister, Crystal Johnson; his daughters, Erica Smith (Morton), Jasmine Raysor, Victoria Johnson; his grandchildren, Alivia Raysor-Bunch, Michael Rhaney, Avianna Hester, N' Zuri Pratt, Savannah Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
