James Hiner, 87, of Queen Creek passed away on June 15, 2013. He was born in a log cabin in Indiana and grew up in Greensboro, where he was very active in 4-H. A WWII Army veteran, Jim served in Italy. After many years as a farmer, he moved to Arizona in 1961 and became an accountant. A caring and loving family man, he is survived by wife Helen, children Nicolas (Judy), Lori (Devan), and Jonathan (Kristi), as well as grandchildren Jennifer Early, Tracy (John) Smith, Jeff Hiner; Jordan Heather, Reagan, Kylie, and Ainsley Mohr; Brooklynn and Dillon Hiner; great-grandchildren Cody and Braden Early; Thayer and Jillian Smith. Predeceased by siblings Richard and Helen. Visitation Saturday, June 22 at noon and funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd.
