

Jerry Dean Peel, born on April 6, 1944, in Augusta, Georgia, passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 81. A resident of Chandler, Arizona, Jerry was a respected and cherished member of his community.
Jerry graduated from North Augusta Senior High School before embarking on a career as an electrician. His skills and dedication to his craft were well-regarded throughout his professional life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 and a half years, Merry Christmas Peel. Jerry's legacy continues through his daughter, Kimberlee Peel Engle, and her husband, Robert, as well as his grandchildren, Tyler Reed Engle and Trevor Lane Engle. He is also survived by his sisters, Marion Peel King and her husband, Jimmy, and Patricia Peel Duncan and her husband, Faron. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Finley W Peel and Louise G Peel, and his maternal grandparents, Marion Carter Gregg and James Henry Gregg, Sr.
A devoted member of Loco Baptist Church, Jerry was also active at Faith Community Church in Lincolnton, Georgia, where he was honored as deacon of the year in 2018. He contributed significantly to maintaining church buildings, and he operated the audio/visual system, recording sermons and special events. Jerry's commitment to his community extended to volunteering at the Senior Center, delivering meals to shut-in seniors, and building wheelchair ramps and decks for friends and seniors. At Brookdale Assisted Living, he was chosen as "Ambassador," helping new residents acclimate to their new homes. Jerry had a passion for fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan.
