

Joseph C. Glover was born April 13th, 1930 in Birmingham Alabama, to the late Watt Glover, and Bessie Lee Carter-Glover. To This union three children were born, Queenie (deceased), Fannie Dell, and Joseph C. Glover.
Joseph accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, and was baptized in Birmingham. He was educated in the Birmingham public school system. Joseph furthered his education in Arkansas, later moving to Detroit, Michigan for better jobs and opportunities. He united with St. Johns A.M.E. Church where he became an active member in the men’s choir and a youth Sunday school teacher, along with serving where needed. Joseph prepared income taxes for both family and friends. He was also employed by the state of Michigan as a state store manager.
Joseph and Katie met in 1962 and they were perfect for each other. They united in holy matrimony on September 25th, 1964 at St. John’s A.M.E. Church. They both retired from the state of Michigan in 1995, and they relocated to Gilbert, Arizona. They immediately united with Greater Bethel A.M.E Church where they became very active in the ministry. Katie was a Stewardess, they were both Ushers, and they both served on the Sick & Shut In committee. Joseph and Katie celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in September of 2014, by renewed their wedding vows. The service was officiated by Elder Sheriolyn Curry.
In 2015 they moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona. They both loved God, His Son Jesus Christ, and lived by His word. They both loved flowers and gardening. They loved traveling and exploring new places. They both loved family, friends, and church gatherings.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, one sister, Fannie Dell of Detroit, MI. Four sister-in-laws, Mamie McKee-Neal of Detroit, MI, Sarah McKee-Worsham of Sun Lakes, AZ, Henrietta McKee-Dismuke, of Sun Lakes, AZ, And Barbara Ferguson-McKee of Illinois. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Greater Bethel A.M.E Church family, the Tanner A.M.E. Church family, the Holy Trinity A.M.E. Church family, and the New Life Christian Fellowships International Church family.
