Joseph Reed Jackson

He was born in Halifax, VA Feb.2,1940. Joseph graduated from Dobbins Vocationnal Tech in Philadelphia,PA,then went into the United States Air Force and retired with 20 years of service. Shortly thereafter he began his second career in telecommunications with the phone company in operator services,retiring in 1998 in Mesa,Az with 20 years of service.

He was a member of the American Legion post 0026 in Cheyenne,WY. for several years. Joseph was a member of Frontier van Association in Cheyenne. He enjoyed meeting many other vanners and attending several events throughout the next 30 years. He also loved camping with his travel trailer and fishing.

He was preceeded in death by his mother Rose Etta Dixon and his stepfather Wimbush Jackson.

Those left with loving memories are his wife Charlene Jackson of Mesa,AZ,stepdaughter Michelle Castro of Chandler,AZ, son Ken Jackson and grandchildren Jayleen,Kianna and Jayden of Fort Myers, FL.,cousins Carolyn Anderson of Philadelphia,PA.,and Jane Baldwin of Bladenboro,NC.,and a host of second cousins,other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers family and friends may contribute to Lund Family Hospice Home in care of 1982 E. Woodside Court, Gilbert,AZ. 85297-7333.

He will be remembered for his great smile.
