Judy Leota (Witt) Walker, 77, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on November 11, 1948, in Oskaloosa, Iowa to the parents of Harlan L. and L. Louise Witt. She grew up on the family farm in Cedar, Iowa.
She graduated from Fremont High School with the class of 1966. She was deeply involved in her school life, balancing athletics, leadership, and the arts. She played basketball, served as editor of the school newspaper, held class office, sang in glee club, and was proudly awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenships Award.
On May 6, 1966, she married the love of her life Larry Walker, in Cedar, Iowa. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed two children.
Throughout a remarkable 59-year career, she balanced professional work with her greatest calling-being a devoted homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. She worked as a secretary for Greg Life, Attorney at Law, receptionist at a doctor’s office in Kansas City, bookkeeper for Gene Affert CPA, and a receptionist and sales rep for RJ Reynolds. Judy was active in the Moose Fraternity and Elks Lodge, served as treasurer for the American Legion, and as a secretary for Junior High, High School, and College Rodeos. In 1989, Judy and Larry founded Imperial Window Cleaning Inc., a family-owned business that remains in operation today with their son, Trevor.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Larry; her children Trudi and Trevor Walker (Kami); her cherished granddaughters Amanda, Alyssa, Savannah, and Paige; and her beloved great-granddaughter Olivia. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda (Lee) Scharff of Stevensville, Montana, Sandra Reed of Gilbert, Arizona, and Marcia (Jack) Carman of Burlington, Iowa.
Judy was proceeded in death by her sister, Donna Lappin; a brother, Daverne Witt; and her parents.
She was the heart of her family – a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister, and faithful friend, whose strength and love held everyone together.
