

Julia Ann Gundolf, a cherished matriarch, went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 90. Born on May 13, 1934, in Lafayette, Indiana to Fred and L. Gleneva Lahrman. Julia's life was a testament to love and unwavering dedication to her family.
Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Gundolf, her daughters, Linda Goodrum and Dawn Aaron, her son, Michael Gundolf, and her parents. Despite these profound losses, Julia's strength remained a constant source of inspiration for her family.
She is survived by her loving children: Donald Gundolf and his wife Suzan, Timothy Gundolf and his wife Carol, Kathy Poston and her husband Larry, Nancy Mangels and her husband Gene, and Paula Rojo and her husband Paul. Julia's legacy also includes 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her boundless love and care.
Julia devoted her life to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her wisdom, kindness, and nurturing spirit shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren, leaving an indelible mark on each generation.
As we mourn the loss of our beloved matriarch, we also celebrate a life well-lived. Julia's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
Services will be held on August 9th, 2024. Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. and the Prayer Service at 11:00 a.m. at Valley of the Sun Funeral Home, located at 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ 85248. Interment to follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery.
