Kurt Thomas Stratton

51, of Ahwatukee, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was born on October 24, 1962 in Sheridan, MI. He moved to Glendale, AZ in 1975 and instantly embraced the AZ lifestyle. He was a boy scout, skate boarder, kayaker, spear fisherman, star gazer and avid hiker and camper. Kurt loved to travel and took his family& friends on many adventures. He attended high school at Independence High School and also attended classes at Glendale Community College. He received his contractor’s license and was self-employed as a manufacturer’s rep. Kurt especially enjoyed his time spent at South Mountain Park and his second home in Rocky Point, Mexico. Above all else, Kurt loved caring for his family, friends and beloved pets. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years Debbie, his sweet children Kara and Luke, his mother Sharlene Stratton-Hansen (Jon Hansen), brother Troy Stratton, Uncle Kevin and Sherrie Hansen, Aunt Darla Bartlett, The entire Tupper family of 7 in-laws and 9 nieces and nephews and his best buddies, Erik, Tom, Tracy, Jimmy, Mark and Dion. Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mountain Park Community Church, 2408 E. Pecos Rd., Phx, AZ. A reception immediately follows in the hall.
