Larry McGahey

He was born May 2, 1941,son of Earl and Beatrice McGahey. Larry spent his childhood on a family cattle ranch in Porterville, California.

After graduating high school, he attended Woodbury University. There he met the love of his life, Gerry, and they married shortly after graduation.

Larry was drafted 3 days before Christmas in 1965 and was assigned to Wiesbaden, Germany. Larry and Gerry were able to spend 18 exciting months travelling the back roads of Europe together.

After returning home, Larry settled into his career and in 1981 branched out and started his own company, New Horizon Sales, which

to this day stands as a testament to his drive and determination.

As things really started to fall into place, Larry and Gerry were blessed with their first and only child, a son named Troy. Larry’s passions were his work, but more importantly his friends and family.

Larry McGahey is survived by his wife Gerry; son Troy McGahey and his wife Elizabeth; granddaughter Tatum; sister Erleen Taggart; and brother Jim McGahey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, January 11, 2013, at The Grove church in Chandler, Arizona.
