Larry Wayne Williams, 77, passed away on November 12, 2022 in Chandler, Arizona. Larry was born on March 14, 1945 in Oxford, North Carolina and grew up in Oxford and Durham, North Carolina. Larry started his early career working in industrial laboratories and later opted for a career as a Scientific Instrument Salesman for over thirty years.
Larry loved animals of all kinds, but was especially fond of the six Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) that were part of his life over the years. Larry's wife, Andra, ran dog agility with their dogs for over two decades with Larry at the agility competitions always enthusiastically cheering on his Sheltie boys.
Larry was known to enjoy his favorite sports teams, especially college basketball and professional baseball. In fact, he relished sports so much that he worked in the ticket office for the Arizona Diamondbacks during his retirement and even won the honor of employee of the month! Larry was also a member of Appalachian Regional Microscopy Society and Microscopy Society of America during his sales career.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Andra Smith Williams; sons Wayne Williams (Cindy), Scott Williams; stepson Vince Willard (Johannah); step-grandchildren Charlena, Ryan, Mark, Brandi, Nora, Henry, and George.
