Lois Corrine (Haddeland) Hauge was born on February 19, 1931 to Lars and Cora (Holm) Haddeland in Van Hook, North Dakota. She was welcomed by six older sisters, three older brothers and a baby brother 2 years later. Lois graduated from Van Hook High School in 1949.
She married James (Jim) Hauge on October 14, 1951 at the Lutheran Church in Van Hook then moved to New Town where they became members of Bethel Lutheran Church. Together they owned and operated Stockman’s Bar. They enjoyed golfing and spending time on Lake Sakakawea. Jim died on October 29, 1996. After Jim’s death, Lois moved to Minot to be closer to family.
Lois loved to travel. She went on various bus trips, cruises and toured Italy with family. She spent many winters in Arizona where she played bridge and other card games. She was an avid reader, loved to play games on her ipad, and enjoyed going to movies. Lois was generous, she never missed a birthday of her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren with a card and a little spending money.
She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Earl) DeTienne, Pamela (David) Bangen, Patricia (Stanley) Chaput, Robin (Lori) Hauge, and Kimberly (Tracy) Hunter; grandchildren, Chad (Shauna) DeTienne, Julie (Chris) DeTienne, Brad (Mansi) Bangen, Heidi (Jim) Bitz, Kyle Hunter, Kellen (Amber) Hunter, and five step grandchildren. Great-grandchildren, Addison and Chloe DeTienne, Elliot, Mason, and Logan Bitz, Emma Bangen, Nash and Haddie Hunter, Ian Tsailakis, and eleven step great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon (Marlene) Haddeland; sister-in-law, Luella Lindgren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hauge; parents, Lars and Cora Haddeland; brothers, Genhart, Arthur, and Maynard; sisters, Geneva, Myrtle, Mildred, Alvera, Esther, and Eunice.
