Margarita Alvarez Peña

She was born on November 6, 1932 in CD. Juarez, Mexico and later graduated from Austin High School. Margarita married Joe Peña on September 24, 1955 in Pasadena, California. She worked for 20 plus years in the Banking industry for UCB Bank - Federal Reserve and California Federal. Margarita also spent time volunteering as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, and Guadalupanas for the church. She had a passion for her family, painting, sewing, gardening, cooking, reading, crocheting, and her faith.

Margarita is survived by her husband, Joe Peña; her son Edward (Maria) Peña; her daughter, Irma (Don) Marmon; her grandchildren: Adam (Sarah), Amanda, Jacob, Nicholas, Andrea (Michael), Christopher (Wendy), and Arianna; her great grandchildren: Ryan, Stephen, Aaron, Emerson, Ethan, Maddison, Olivia, Constantine, Eleanor, and Aurelian; and her siblings: Stella, Angie, and Maria Elena.

A visitation and rosary will be held on September 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary, located at 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona, 85248.

The funeral mass for Margarita will take place on September 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at Saint Juan Diego Catholic Church, located at 3200 S Cooper Road, Chandler, Arizona, 85286.

Margarita's graveside service will be held on September 12, 2025, at 11:30 am at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
