Maria De Los Angeles Ortega

Maria will be remembered with deep respect for the steady grace of her life and the warmth she extended to those around her. Her generous spirit was evident in the thoughtful gifts she so often gave, offered not for recognition but as a natural expression of care. In both quiet and practical ways, she lived with a kind heart and a devotion that anchored her family and strengthened the bonds of home.

Maria found joy in the simple, meaningful rhythms of daily life. She loved dancing, and she took pride in cooking for others, sharing comfort and tradition through the meals she prepared. She also tended to her flowers with faithful attention, watering them every day—an everyday act that reflected her patience and the gentle constancy with which she cared for what she loved, including washing clothes and cleaning her home regularly. Her faith remained close to her, and she prayed daily for her loved ones, holding them in her heart with enduring devotion.

Maria is survived by her children: daughters Alicia (Jorge) Ramirez, Dalia (Carlos) Ortega, and Sandra Ortega; and her grandchildren: Jasmin, Chantel, Bibianna, Jisselle, Nicholas, Samantha, and Mia.

Services for Maria will begin with with her Visitation and Rosary at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery: 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd. Chandler, Arizona 85248 on Wednesday, May 20 from 5-8 PM. The Rosary will begin at 6 PM.

Maria's Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Thursday, May 21 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church: 230 W Galveston St, Chandler, Arizona 85225. Maria's Graveside Service and Committal will occur immediately afterward at Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler.
