Mariann Eda Zmyslinski

Mariann was born on August 2, 1942 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Emil and Elizabeth Ehret and died

on October 3, 2023.

Mariann grew up in Mckean, Pennsylvania with her parents and brother George. After high

school she received her practical nursing certification and moved to Akron OH where she met

her future husband Ron. They married on June 6, 1970 and had their first child Simon in 1971

followed by Steve in 1972 and then Sheryl in 1974.

Seeking a new adventure Mariann and Ron headed out west to Arizona where they settled

down in Phoenix to raise their family. In true mom fashion Mariann got her three kids involved

in little league baseball, Pop Warner football, cheer and summer camps which at the time was

no small feat. Once the kids left the nest Mariann and Ron escaped the hustle and bustle of

Phoenix for the cooler temperatures of northern Arizona. There Mariann devoted her time to

numerous charitable causes including volunteering at Payson’s Time Out shelter, PetSmart

animal adoption center and Red Rocks state park.

Most of all Mariann was a devoted wife and mother. While Ron was busy getting his cardiology

practice up and running, Mariann managed the medical billing all while maintaining the

household and raising the kids.

Mariann always saw the best in people. She never judged a book by its cover. This optimism

has stuck with me over the years and served me well as life serves up lemons from time to

time.

We will miss her greatly.

Mariann is survived by her three children Simon, Steve and Sheryl.
