Marilyn was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 26, 1931, to David and Bonnie Klatke. She spent her childhood there where she met and married the love of her life, Robert, who enjoyed a 40-year-career with 3M. This took them from Minnesota to New Jersey where the children spent their formative years before 3M moving them back to Minnesota, and then on to Austin, Texas before retiring and settling in Phoenix, Arizona.
Marilyn was a woman of quiet elegance, deep faith, authenticity, kindness, caring and a palpable warmth that was felt by all who knew her. Her family was her pride and joy, she was always present and in tune with all the family traditions and escapades, laughing, smiling, and enjoying being in the moment, her eyes shining with gratitude for the love and great pride she held in her heart for her family. She never missed an opportunity to express how much they meant to her.
Marilyn's life was a beautiful melody of love, faith, grace, and joy. She will be deeply missed but remembered forever by all who loved her.
