Matthew Scott Modjeski

Matt Modjeski, age 38, passed away on October 18, 2022. Matt was born on March 14, 1984 in Munster, Indiana to Mark Modjeski and the late Judy Modjeski. He is survived by his brother, Tim Modjeski (Dina) and his dog, Blake.

Matt was a graduate of Smoky Hill high School in Aurora, CO in 2001 and the University of Northern Colorado in 2005. He was a diehard Colorado Rockies fan and longtime season ticket holder—section 325 at Coors Field was Matt’s heaven on earth. The only thing Matt loved more than the Rockies and Coors Field was his family and his chubby beagle, Blake. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. Matt loved his job at SM Energy, but more important loved his colleagues, especially his Accounts Payable team. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky to have known him.

The family would like to give special thanks to everyone who supported and assisted Matt during his fight. Especially the nurses, doctors, and therapists at Swedish Hospital, Mayo Clinic, and Neuro & Brain Performance Center.
