Patty, Maureen, Jennifer
	I am deeply sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. I have so many memories of Mike, Maureen, Bill and Ginny, the O’Leary’s, my cousins . As with many of us cousins, Bill and Ginny were my godparents, my parents were Mike’s godparents, and my dad was Ginny’s godfather, so we were bound to take care of each other and be in each other’s lives on this earth and beyond. 
	The parents arranged our summer vacations by sending some of us city kids to the farms, which I loved, I was a tomboy. The farm kids would come to the “big city”, Mason City population 30,000! At the O’Leary’s, Mike and I would head to the hayloft, (which was off-limits but one of my favorites to do) we would run and jump across the bales of hay, where once I jumped too short and a bale was missing. I sprained my ankle from the fall so we were caught by the parents. I think they thought being slowed down on crutches for over a week was enough punishment for me, so we got off pretty easy. Another favorite, we used to ride sheep. I thought it was great! 
	As did some of the other cousins, Mike would come to the “Big City”. We played on the jungle gym, the slides, ran in parks, rode bikes, went to the swimming pool, walked three blocks from home for ice cream cones and went to the movies: all the things that a summer in the city has too offer.
	As we got older our summers included the “Lazy Lagoon”at Lake Okoboji with each family in cabins. Paddle boats, water fights, swimming, and uncle Kenny with his boat where we learned to water ski. Arnolds Park provided all the rides, games, food and everything an amusement park had to offer.
		When Ginny passed, Mike worked hard at staying connected to his Iowa roots the O’Learys & Mileham’s. I’m grateful for Mike’s calls over the years. So many memories!        
	Patty, Maureen, and Jennifer, Mike was so proud of each of your individual accomplishments. He loved you all deeply. Mike, may God grant you peace.  May his memory be a blessing!

As long time friends of Maureen we met Mike close to 30 years ago. 

We enjoyed getting to know  Mike on a wonderful ski trip to Cortina de  Ampezzo, Italy about 28 years ago.  He joined us, Maureen & Phil on a day skiing the Sella Ronda. We pushed him to ski his best to ski from village to village to village to make it around the Sella in time to catch the bus back. We just made it saving an expensive taxi ride.  We celebrated that night (& many others during the trip). 

We had the pleasure of celebrating graduations of his nephew James with him and Patty.  

We are sad we won’t be spending more time with him and Patty in Phoenix and Munds Park, AZ.  He will be missed but fondly remembered. 

I met Mike through the AEA.  It was a pleasure to see and work with him at conventions when I was with Honeywell and later Worthington Av.   Always pleasant, always professional ...always a positive attitude and he couldn't  speak more highly of Patty and family.   I was saddened to hear of his passing.... our world has lost a champion and aviation, a paramount resource.   God's speed Michael.... may your skies always be sunny and blue and your flights always find calm horizons.....  Rest in Peace Mike... God's Blessings.... 
Thoughts & Prayers for the family...

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about Michael's passing.  He was a great guy, brother-in-law and uncle to nephew James.  Mike was bigger than life in all the good ways and left his mark on this earth.  Patty, Maureen and Jennifer, I am so sorry for your loss.

I attended St. Ellen's Grade School and Emmetsburg High School with Mike. I knew him, his parents,  his grandmother and all his relatives well. Sorry to hear  of his passing.  

Alan and I were so shocked to hear about Mike. We extend our sympathy to each of you.  We enjoyed seeing him on his visits to Iowa when  he came to see his mom and dad.  It was always fun to talk flying and airplanes with Mike. 

Mike your passing is hard for all of us, your part is done in this world but never forgotten. Mike until we meet again safe sky's. 

I did not know Michael personally, but Patty always spoke so highly of him.  Patty please know Michael is in my prayers and you both are never forgotten.  

What a life of serving! Deepest sympathy to Mike's family. 

Such a loss of a great man that meant so much to so many, and someone I was fortunate to call my family. Prayers and love to Patty, Jennifer, Maureen and family. Mike’s love for family and selflessness was so apparent and obvious, which I witnessed first hand. 

Patty, Maureen & family - We are still in shock over the news of Mike, and are so sorry for all of you.  We always enjoyed the visits we had over the years, Mike always had good stories! We will be thinking of all of you and sharing in your loss.

Michael was a veteran.  He wore the uniform.  He did his duty.  He sacrificed his youth and endured the separation from loved ones.  He served his country with selfless devotion.  Now his battles are over.  He is gone but not forgotten; for he will always have the undying gratitude of those he served and the respect of those who served with him.  May he rest in eternal peace. 

I graduated with Mike. He was a great friend. Always a smile and made you feel special. Maureen was a treasured babysitter.  My prayers are with his family. 

I'll always remember all the fun times at Grandma O'Learys farm with all the cousins in our younger days.  I'll never forget the airplane rides from Uncle Bill.  I have so many memories to cherish with Mike and family.  RiP Mike and fly with the angels. 

Michael, you will be missed by many. I know how much I have missed your laughter and fun we had together. My best to Jennifer and Patty during this sad time.

When I think of Michael, I think of a Heart Of Gold. Patty, I am so very sorry for your loss. Michael would talk about you often and how very special you are to him. I have know Michael for many years through the avionics industry and seeing him at the AEA conventions. It was my pleasure to work with him before he retired. He was always willing to help and was a wealth of knowledge. I will always remember his smiling face and happy personality.

Our Condolences from the Leiby family to yours.   I only knew Michael for a few short years however it seemed so much longer.  Michael, did have an enormous passion for aviation and loved the fellowship the industry brought with it.    He would drop everything to help you and I greatly appreciated him.   Whenever I would speak with him he would always make it a point to inquire about my wife and kids to see how they were doing and to make sure everyone was ok.   Such a caring person that will be greatly missed.    

God bless you Michael.  Patty I am so sorry for your loss. This world lost a good man, Michael was the kindest most gentle heart I ever met and I am going to miss “Brother” Michael.  Michael had a passion for aviation that no one in the industry had and this industry lost one of the best.  All the things I learned from Michael I will never forget, but the most important that will stay with me forever was his love for Patty and all things set aside that makes life so precious and everything else is just material and when we go home everyday and have family and your loved one by your side that you are walking the journey of life with, there is nothing more important.  I will miss you Michael but I know you are looking down at all of us with that big old smile and I know you made a huge impact in this world.
